Jesus Christ likened the church.....those who believe and trust in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life....to a body.  The church functions at its best when connected and working together to fulfill the commission it was given by the Lord Himself: “Go...and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”. [Matthew 28vs19&20]  Icon mission purposes to connect existing churches, ministries, pastors and Christians for greater involvement opportunities in missions both at home and abroad.  Connecting the members of the body of Christ and the giftings and resources they possess has the potential to accomplish much for the eternal Kingdom of God. By doing so practical service can be done through pooling of resources including feeding the poor, assisting local churches and education through seminars and conferences.   Jesus prayed in John 17vs11 “that they may be one”  understanding the importance of connecting His “many membered body” as  powerful proof that the Father sent Him into the world.
